STRANGELY DEPICTED

This is the first film I ever made and I did it COMPLETELY on my own.  It's about a psychologist named Edward who is working with a patient that he believes has three different serial killer personalities.  It's a dark story with a little bit of twisted humor.  That's really all I can say without spoiling the ending.  I wasn't able to upload the video in one piece so I broke it up into six parts which you can view below.

Fun Facts About Strangely Depicted

 1. The film went through four title changes during production.

Psychoville

Split

Demons in the Mirror

Strangely Depicted.

2.  The original version included Edward having a girlfriend which I also played.  But it was horrible and luckily I was able to cut it from the film.

3.  While preparing to be the different characters, I would practice the same monologue as all four characters as a way to ensure that I was using a different voices, mannerisms, and speech patterns to play each character and make sure each performance was truly different. (I used the Joker's monologue when he talks to the mobsters from the Dark Knight.)

4.  The original version was done completely on my own.  I did all the filming, acting, editing, make-up, set up, music, and sound effects.  After I showed the film my friend helped me redo the music.  Both versions are available above.

5.  My first cut of the film was only 50 minutes long and it needed to be 70.  So I had to shoot an additional 20 minutes and re-work the story.  Luckily this worked out for the better as the additional scenes I added are some of my favorite.

6.  I finished editing this film at 1am, Christmas morning.
